2005-01-28 [Vanalyn]: Hehe well, I am a techy, so.. :P Memory and Harddrive Space are two different things. You could have your HD filled up to 98% and it wouldn't effect performance, your CPU and RAM don't know the difference. It's when the CPU has to access and execute so many things at once that the PC gets slower.. If your system is getting slower after downloading something, you likely just got some Spyware or a virus. :P

You can fill the warehouse up all you want, but you only have 1 of those crane things that can access and move around the boxes. It can find the boxes and move them at incredibly high speeds, but when it has to move things for 20 different programs at once, it seems slow. Better? :P

2005-02-04 [Cat0132]: there were no large scale attacks, thats why it went well, and a HUGE amount of incredibly brave people went, they are marked with then ink on their finger for a WEEK it betrays them as a voter, I don't think many people in this country would ever be that brave
2005-02-04 [Maurer's conclusions]: Well, many candidates were barred from running, most of the voters had no clue who they were voting for, and many people had no wish to vote because you cannot force democracy on a people at gunpoint. Furthermore, it is hypocritical for the US to 'spread freedom and democracy', when the Patriot Act takes away personal freedom, and the US electoral system isn't democratic.
2005-02-04 [Dil*]: Yes I agree. I mean, the Americans just go in there, blow a couple of things up and hope to somehow install a democracy. The propaganda makes it sound so easy, but democracy is VERY hard to install into a country. You have to consider several factors.

2005-02-05 [Cat0132]: your government is liberal as well, but I mean common, look around, businesess have tons of guidlines hurting them, small businesess can't grow, hence the weak dollar. Socialism calls for a strict government. We HAVE to have a Patriot Act because unlike Canada we are seen as a THREAT to crazy people, and they like to KILL US, you don't live were I do. I live near Boston, a huge port city, we just had a terrorism scare, we take stuff here seriously, you just dont get it, you dont have to be afriad, YOU dont have poeple JEALOUS of the way you live and act on it.

The guidelines are for pollution policies and stuff. To protect the environment. Our dollar ain't that weak compared to the rest of the world, and your dollar has been dropping alot lately as well.
